Welcome to American Literature. Throughout the year, we will explore the timeline of literature and its ever-changing styles. We begin our journey with the Pilgrims and end with modern works from this century. We will discuss what the "American Dream" means and how it is portrayed through various works of literature. We will read short stories, novels, poems, as well as work on our writing skills throughout the year. It is fascinating to learn about your country's history through a different route and pair of glasses. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
